Pantages!

Aug 12, 2018

Yes, we’re back at Pantages as our main venue this week, and for the majority of the Sunday morning gatherings going forward into the fall and early winter. That feels good to me…a bit of a homecoming. Still no Kid’s Table programming (we’ll resume that in September), but space and Lego aplenty…

As far as the Talky Bit goes, this week will be a bit unique. I’m just back this evening (Thursday) from a trip to Saskatoon, but this time it wasn’t for “one more visit with my father”, at least not in the sense that is has been. My dad died last week Wednesday, so this trip was to celebrate his life and also to mark his passing. So it’s not been a typical week, for sure. As you may be able to imagine, some of that will contribute to the frame within which we’ll be exploring this week, but it won’t be a “eulogy revisited”. I want to continue to move into what looks to me like the very positive and hopeful terrain that can be found within our questions about God as an interventionist. Intriguingly, much of that hope is made visible in the Jesus story, so we’ll explore that a bit as well.

In the meantime, don’t assume…explore.

I’ll see you at Pantages on Sunday.

Peace,

Tim Plett
