Re-Calibration
Good morning,
Whenever I hop onto my bike or get into my car or use my wheelbarrow, I am grateful to whatever brilliant person decided the axle should go in the middle of the wheel. We had a kids wagon for a while that had a wheel with an off-centre axle…it is “no longer with us”.
Sometimes what needs to be central is obvious. Sometimes it is not so apparent, but just as critical. Our personal perspective on what should be the pivot or hub of a given situation in life may occasionally need a bit of re-orienting. In fact, our entire cultures perspective on those kinds of matters could often benefit by a re-calibration.
This week we will be exploring a biblical scene in which Jesus doesn’t just tune up a cultural wheel, but turns it inside-out, and in the process offers us a compelling (and sometimes counter-cultural) picture of our own mission as Christ-followers.
We will also be launching The Kid’s Table this week! Hope to see you Sunday morning, 10:30, 318 Ross (The Frame Arts Warehouse).
Peace,
Tim
