Here’s the Question
At The Table, we like to explore what we believe. It’s why we exist. We spend a lot of our time considering ideas, reflecting, discussing, questioning. But how much attention have we paid to the quality of the questions we’re asking?
Since we’re on the topic of questions (I know, I know…I chose the topic), I’ve got another one. When it comes to what we believe, what difference might it make if we are asking ourselves ordinary, run-of-the-mill questions rather than what author Warren Berger calls “a more beautiful question”? How might the quality of the questions we ask of various beliefs, and even of ourselves and our own beliefs, impact the possible insights we gain or the changes we might make to what we believe? What if the quality of our questions could lead us toward actionable changes in our lives rather than just musings about possible changes?
The second reason is to begin exploring how (and why) we should learn to ask ourselves and our beliefs “more beautiful questions”. We’ll also check in with one another during Community Time (another way to not be alone). In addition, I’ll provide an update on when we are considering starting to gather at a new-to-us, centrally located venue. We’ll wrap up around noon.
I’m looking foward to exploring together. I’ll see you on Sunday.
Peace,
