Last Sunday at The Exchange Cafe
Greetings, good people of The Table! This week our gathering will be doubly auspicious. It is, as the greeting card companies (and many others, including the hardware stores!) have been reminding us, Mothers Day. Aside from the obvious and self-centred reason to acknowledge and celebrate moms (where would we all be without them?!), there are many less apparent virtues associated with motherhood that should be lauded. It will be good to celebrate moms in general, and in particular those in our midst.
And (this is the doubly part) it is our last Sunday at The Exchange Cafe! The business has been sold to new owners who take possession on May 18th, so we are looking for a new physical home. I think it is fair to say that The Exchange Cafe has been a wonderful place for us in this season of our life, and we will take some time to acknowledge and celebrate that. Take a few moments in the next couple of days to reflect on some of the good things that have been part of our story, perhaps personally part of your story, during the time we have been gathering at this location. I think it would be wonderful if we could share some of those recollections with one another as we mark this transition.
I look forward to our gathering on Sunday and to what God has for us in the future!
Peace to you,
Tim
