What Makes a Space Feel Like Home – Part III

Sep 27, 2026

I was in a meeting recently where someone kindly suggested I might be overthinking a particular topic. They were not wrong. I do that. I prefer to think of it as “using a strength in excess”, or what my mom liked to call “too much of a good thing”. However it might be characterized, it’s something I want to be careful with, so this will be our last week on the above topic. 🙂

That said, from my perspective, we’re just getting to the best part which is where we take the things we’ve observed about our new space, we put them side-by-side with the reason we exist as a community (to make room to explore what we believe) and our core belief (that no one should have to do this alone), and we ask the question: what does that suggest about how we might best give shape to our gatherings?

When we gather at Video Pool (100 Arthur Street – second floor) at 10:45 am on Sunday, we’ll start by checking in during Community Time (so we’re not doing this alone), then move into what I described above. There will be something for our young folks as well.

For those not able to join us in person, we’ll livestream here.

Details:
-there are entrances to VP on both the Arthur and King Street sides of the building, and (ideally) both sides will be unlocked. That happens remotely (we don’t control it), and if it isn’t working, we’ll have someone by the doors on the King Street side to let people in.
-here’s the link to a video with more details about finding the venue  How To Find Us
-this is a “bring your own coffee” venue, so if you need that beverage or something similar, plan to bring you own

I’ll see you on Sunday!

Peace,
Tim Plett
PS – I know I’ve mentioned this before, but we remain extremely low on funds. Without some significant donations, we won’t be able to meet our obligations at the end of the month. I don’t want to belabour this, but this is part of our reality as a community,
