The Fringe Comes to The Table

March 8, 2015
Hello Tablers. And now for something completely different…

John Janzen, whom many of you will know as one of the musicians at The Table (and the dad of those fabulous Janzen Boyz), is also a part of the team at Siloam Mission. This year, Siloam is putting on a play at The Fringe Festival, and this Sunday morning we get to “workshop” it together. Here’s what John has to say concerning what the play is about and what we’ll be up to:

“We want to communicate to kids all over the city a value that says sometimes the things we dream of, think are most important, are not much more than a big lie. And that the people who pay attention to the small things, that often get pushed to the edges, find the world changing before their eyes…in a small, secret way that might just be more important than all those big things we spent so much time chasing. It’s a 78 stanza epic kids poem, as we are calling it, and I will present it in its entirety Sunday morning. It’ll take about 25 minutes. Then we will talk about it.
So there you go – opportunity to reset your clock (yep, this is the weekend we “spring forward”) and gather at The Table to attend to this intriguing Lenten world with a renewed imagination.
As usual, details about where and when can be found right here on our website.
See you Sunday!
Peace,
Tim Plett
