An Apple A Day…

March 15, 2015

I don’t know if the subject line for this email triggers anything for you, but for me it immediately leads into “keeps the doctor away”. I grew up surrounded by folk aphorisms like this, largely because my maternal grandfather had an enormous storehouse of them, and the ability to roll out just the right one at the right time. Sort of like that friend that can sing one line from a song that seems to fit almost any situation.

In any case, the point of this saying (which is, of course, not precisely accurate) is that the daily intake of fruit is important to being healthy. Even if an apple a day can’t guarantee us good health, the small things we do each day really can make quite a difference in our lives.

This week we’ll take a couple of different angles on “dailiness” and the relationship between doing small things often and making big changes in our lives.

I hope you can be there.

Some important dates to note on your calenders:

Easter Sunday – (April 5th): We’ll meet at 9:30 for to have breakfast together (more details to follow), then gather for a celebration that will include a parent/child dedication. Yeah!

May 24 – our last Sunday morning gathering before we switch to Wednesday evenings for the summer. This will also be a “Souper Sunday”, and a parent/child dedication. Nope, not a typo – we’re having two of them, because there are just that many babies around!

September 13 – our first Sunday back to a.m. gatherings, and a picnic! We’ve been trying to pull this off for a couple of years now…this time, if determination and planning ahead are the keys, it’s going to happen! Once again. details will follow.

And a whole bunch of additional Kids Table dates before we break for the summer! In addition to the dates we already had scheduled (March 15th and 29th and April 12th and 26th) we now have March 22nd, April 19th, and May 3rd, 17th and 24th. Big thanks to Amy and Jason and everyone that pitches in when they can to make this happen.

That’s plenty for now!
Peace,
Tim Plett
