Is Life Really Just A Complicated Game? :)

Jul 19, 2026

Ok – two things before we get to the content. First of all, the subject line is meant to be funny, not to generate profound existential questions. Hopefully that will make sense in a moment. Second, I realize this weekly blurb is arriving in your inbox remarkably close to the previous Sunday, but because the gathering this coming Sunday (July 19th) will be unique in both content and location, I wanted to give everyone as much notice as reasonably possible. Jason and Sara will be the hosts on Sunday; here’s what Jason has to say about what will be happening.

Community happens in many ways. Sometimes it’s a conversation around a fire while roasting s’mores; it could happen while sharing a box of tissues while sharing grief; meeting together to explore what we believe. One of my favourite ways to share community is over dice, cards, and cardboard.

Any who would like to come on Sunday, July 19th is welcome to come and play some board games. We have games for folks of all ages and all levels of interest.

If you want to make art, solve a crime, spell words, collect sheep, race to get through the castle, escape a cursed temple, then we have the experience for you! Or you can bring a game of your own!

We will keep the gaming light, but if any of you want to play more intense games, we can arrange other times to get together.

We will have some coffee, and probably some timbits. Folks can play games, hang out and chat, or play with Lego.

Time: 1045ish start until 1230ish or so.

You can email me at jason.miles@hotmail.ca if you have any questions.

We’ve had events like this in the past, and they are always a blast. I would encourage you to be part of it, if at all possible.  Also, a reminder that we will have a gathering on July 26th but not on August 2nd. More details about the 26th will be in the blurb for that week.

Peace,

Tim
