Happy (almost) Easter!
Hey Tablers – I know that in the larger scheme of things we are not out of the Lenten woods just yet, but Easter is coming, and we do plan to mark it with a feast! Some details as follows:
Place – our new (transitional) address – 372 Notre Dame. The sign will be on the front sidewalk, but for those of us that haven’t been there yet, the parking is in the back and the entry is on the side. Just trying to keep things interesting…
Time – we are planning to eat at 10:00. If you are bringing food that needs preparation (more on that below), come enough in advance to have it ready go by that time if at all possible. There will be folks at the address and the door will be open well before that.
What to Bring – I keep hearing rumors about pancakes, but I think we’ll just have to show up and see what happens on that one. My source was a dependable one though, so I’m planning to arrive hungry. Otherwise, bring things that are not needing to be cooked or kept hot, such as hard-boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheese plates, sandwiches, fruit or vegetable platters, breads, finger desserts and anything easily eaten with fingers or few utensils-things that are can be heated up in a microwave. We have one of those. Note – at this location, we DO NOT have an oven or stovetop. FYI…
After we eat, we’ll gather and reflect on how astounding it is to be loved by God, and to be offered a renewed life whether we feel like we qualify to receive it or not! Awesome…actually awesome.
I’ll see you on Sunday!
Peace,
Tim Plett
