Hello everyone. I find our linguistic attempts to locate God quite intriguing. Most of us have grown up within cultures that tend to locate God, or the residence of God, as “up”.  The bad guy(s) location is “down”. We usually don’t even think about it – “heaven” and “the heavens” have been congruent locations for so long that its pretty much just built in. But sometimes, like when we are exploring what we believe, the world can get sort of topsy turvy, and those long standing assumptions get challenged. This Sunday

, we’ll be continuing along the journey of musing about what sort of path leads to spiritual transformation, and whether our metaphysical metaphors of “up” and “down” are especially helpful.
