This week at the Table I want to try once more something that we did a little of during the winter – Lectio Divina, or at least something similar to it. I remember reading a book by theologian NT Wright and being struck by a passage where he basically says that church can be a lot of things, but two things it must be, to be in concert with 2000 years of church history, is a place where the community comes together to pray and read scripture. So I will have some scripture passages ready and some songs to sing through that will hopefully allow us to meditate on what we have read.
