Not Quite New Years Eve?

Dec 30, 2023

Somehow, I don’t think we’re about to launch a new Table tradition with this one. That said, my mom used to say that “sometimes a change is as good as a rest”, so perhaps this will turn out to feel kinda good. What am I talking about? Well, since you asked, I’m talking about the fact that we are gathering tomorrow (Saturday) morning rather than Sunday morning. We’ve never done that before…ever. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong.) Same time as usual (10:45 a.m.), same location (VA Cafe, 171 McDermot Avenue), different day. We might be on the main floor rather than the downstairs, but just take a look around when you arrive and find the group.

NOTE: We will not be livestreaming this gathering but I would love to hear from people who are not able to attend. If you would like to contribute to the conversation, please post your thoughts regarding the following agenda to our Facebook page and we’ll make sure to include that in the discussion.

Our agenda – reflection and dreaming. We’ll spend some time looking back at the year past; points of connection and meaning making, things that rubbed us the wrong way or didn’t work. And we’ll spend some time dreaming about the year to come – what might we like to work toward as a community in 2024? That’s it…the whole plan. And you’ll get to sleep in on New Years Eve day (at least, you won’t have to get up to go to The Table) and have lots of time to get fancied up for New Years Eve. Win/win.  🙂

I’m looking forward to the conversation.  I’ll see you on “not quite Sunday”.

Peace,

Tim Plett
