What If We’re Wrong?

Apr 30, 2017

Hello folks. This week, Jane Penner will be helming the Talky Bit. We can anticipate a thoughtful exploration that integrates personal journey, work expertise, and deeply embedded faith, in this case touching on a topic that’s relevant to anyone with spiritual curiosity. I’m looking forward to this! Her blurb is as follows:

What if we’re wrong?

Much of my work as an academic librarian focuses on first-year students and getting them to understand how information works, and how they can find and use information to express their ideas and satisfy their curiosities.

Throughout our lives, we come to conclusions by being curious. However, we often try to avoid exploring things related to our prescribed systems of belief. Why is that? This week, we’ll look into some things that might hold us back and how we can re-frame the experience to be less daunting.

The last time I spoke at the Table, I talked about who I am and the things that I think have brought me to where I am in my life’s journey. For those of you who missed that awesome display of visible nervousness, come by Sam’s Place on Sundayand check out the next chapter! J

Other Relevant Matters:

We remain at Sam’s for the time being. We’re still working on a confirmed plan for the summer months, so keep an eye out for more info about that.

Kid’s Table is still happening, so if you have littles, bring ’em!

I’ll see you all on Sunday.

Peace,

Tim Plett
