This Week at The Family Dinner…

May 24, 2015

Hey Tablers – this is our last Sunday morning gathering before we switch to Wednesday evenings for the summer. So, we’re having a party! An all-ages-friendly, eat, drink and be merry kind of party.  We’re going to have a celebration that includes a parent/child dedication, food, guests, music…

So come and be part of it! Bring soup, buns, salad, or desert if you are able. If not, show up and feast anyway. I’ve never been at a Souper Sunday yet where there wasn’t more than enough food.

Speaking of which – if you are bringing food, and you would like to have the left overs help out a hungry family, bring a container (one you don’t need returned) to put the left overs in, and Judi Heppner will take them to a single dad that has very little income, has just had shoulder surgery, and needs help feeding himself and his child. Thanks!

Other details:

Kids Table – this Sunday is the last one before that part of our gathering takes a break for the summer. A great big “Thank You!” to Amy for leading that crew through a great year, and to all the folks that have helped to make each of those gatherings happen. On behalf of both the little people and the rest of us, Thank You!!

June 3rd – our first Wednesday evening gathering. We’ll meet at 6:30 p.m. in the same place, unless we announce otherwise.

July 1st – Canada Day! (You already knew that). What you didn’t know is that we won’t be gathering at the usual location / time on that date. Details to follow…

July 18 / 19th – The Table Beach Day – July 18th is the “official” date; the 19th is the “rain date”.  We will still meet on the Wednesday evening; this is a bonus gathering. This gathering will be hosted by Bernie and Judi Bargen at their “Beach House”. Yeah!

That’s it for now. See  you on Sunday!

Peace,

Tim Plett
