The Big Venue

Aug 7, 2022

Hey folks – I hope everyone had a lovely long weekend, and welcome back!

I’m back from holidays but working remotely for a few days from a location where I have to drive 20 minutes or so to get a phone / internet signal, just to give you a bit of context for some of the details to follow and to explain the late arrival of the weekly blurb.

We’ve been talking for a while now about beginning to meet in person starting in August. As you  may have noticed, it is now August. Our venue inquiries are ongoing but as is perhaps not surprising communications are happening at “summer speed” so we’re meeting online this Sunday. We’ll keep you posted as this unfolds.

All to say…we’ll meet online here at 10:45 a.m. for music and Community Time, followed by the Talky Bit. Because of the above mentioned internet factors, I’ve pre-recorded the Talky Bit. All being well, it’ll pop up on our Facebook feed at 11:15 a.m.
As far as what we’ll be exploring, I’m going to do what I usually do after my summer break and muse a bit on what was rattling around in my thoughts while I was away. In this particular case, those thoughts reflect on our place as humans in the “big venue” of our home here on earth, and how that’s connected to what we believe. Big topic, but I thought I might as well just jump into the deep end.

I’m very much looking forward to meeting in person again, and eagerly anticipate being able to let you know when that will begin.

Until then, I’ll see you (online) on Sunday.
Peace,
Tim Plett
