In the Talky Bit this week, I’ll be poking around in something that I hope will help us all to stretch our imaginations a little. I think that’s a good match for this time of year – the lengthening of days that presages spring, and that also forms the historical basis for the season of Lent; both feel like invitations to shake off ossified ways of thinking and behaving, and to consider something new. And of course, in the Christian tradition, all of this points toward the rather outrageous thought that even death isn’t a finality, but rather a gateway to a way of being that deeply challenges our imaginations. So that’s where our explorations will be headed.
