Experiencing authentic doubt, particularly when it applies to a guiding story, can range from disconcerting to paralyzing. Perhaps it’s no surprise that many of us have been taught that doubt is problematic; the enemy of faith, for instance. But what if doubt has an essential, even hopeful role to play in exploring what we believe? Can we befriend doubt? And if we can, how might that change the experience of evolving what we believe?

That’s the  general terrain I’ll be introducing this Sunday in the Talky Bit. I look forward to being with you (online) as we continue to gather virtually, doing what we can as a community to support the recovery of our social interactions and the restoration of the kinds of “together” we’re missing so acutely.
We’ll gather here at 10:45 a.m. for music and Community Time, then on to the Talky Bit which will take place on our Facebook page as usual. That will be followed by And Lunch After at 12:30, and The Wednesday Evening Zoom Hangout at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Links for those are below.
In the meantime, let’s continue to watch for light in the darkness, for the green of new life, for hope and strength and love creatively shared, and to celebrate what is good and lovely wherever we find it.
I’ll see you on Sunday.
Peace,
Tim Plett
