More Than Love On The Weekend – A Full Circle Sunday

Hey folks…I expect I’ll have some company when I say that I’m tired of all the hate that seems to dominate our media spaces these days and that seems in danger of poisoning the water of our “every-day-ness” as well. One of my friends likes to say that “the antidote to bad culture is good culture”, so I’m going to take a cue from that to muse a bit about what substantial love looks like. You know, something along the lines of “the antidote to hate is love”, but not the fluffy kind of love that only lasts for the weekend. With apologies to John Mayer – it’s a good pop tune, but that version of love is not the antidote to hate. When you’re taking on hate, you need a more robust version of love than that.

This is a Full Circle Sunday, so we can look forward to some Community Time, some music, something for the Kids Table crowd, and the good company of fellow explorers. I’m looking forward to being together.
