A Table Top Sunday, Kids Table, The Table, so many tables…

Hey folks – this is long overdue! In fact, if memory serves we’ve never done this at our VA Cafe location, so this is an inaugural event. Whoop!

Some of you may be asking, what is “this”?  Well, it is a morning where we (literally, not metaphorically, for change) get together and play games. Like, board games, strategy games, games of chance…games, games. All morning. And you thought The Table was hard to explain to people before. 🙂

In an age where people are dying of loneliness, saying “I’m thinking of you” is lovely, but sitting across from you in the same space and sharing something that is re-creational is (dare I say it?) divine. We’ll supply the games, you supply your presence, and we’ll play together.

I know we can’t all show up for a variety of reasons, so be assured that those who can’t be there (and this week, that includes me) can still hold one another in mind and heart.

There is something planned for the youngest ones among us as well, just in case three-layer chess isn’t their jam.
