The Full Meal Deal (or) Nuanced Compassion Part 3
All right- you already know I can’t do math. But I’m usually all right with it as long as the numbers don’t exceed the total of my fingers. However, in this case even my rudimentary math isn’t cutting it. I did a “Part 2” on this topic a couple of weeks ago. And then I did a Talky Bit called “The Art of Life”, which was on the same topic but didn’t get included in the numbered series. So now I can’t tell if this should be “Part 3” or “Part 4”. It’s not yet reached the level of existential crisis, but it is bothering me. So you decide. In either case, in the Talky Bit I’ll continue our exploration of the near and far enemies of compassion.
Also, in the new “doesn’t feel like a rhythm yet” of our variety of gatherings, this is a “full meal deal” Sunday. (Please…help me think of another name. I’m begging now…). What that means is that we’ll meet at 170 Scott at 10:45 a.m., we’ll enjoy some music, Community Time, and there’ll be something organized for the Littles. Also, we’ll livestream the whole thing on our Facebook page, which you can find here. We’ll also have a podcast posted early the following week, which you can find here.
And because, in a way that is both mysterious and that the brain-science folks feel they can adequately explain, we do tend to see what we’re looking for. So keep looking for folks that could help us out with music, Kids Table, and who would just generally appreciate what’s happening at The Table. And then let them know we exist and that they would be most welcome. You know…invite them to come check it out. 🙂
Just to help us all keep this straight, and to prevent anyone from showing up and finding no one home, a reminder that next week is an “online only” gathering; no music etc…just community time drawn from whatever people post online and a Talky Bit.
