But first, the details:
We’re gathering in person at 170 Scott Street at 10:45 a.m. That’s the Rainbow Resource Centre, if you want an internet shortcut. Once you pull up, follow the signs. That’ll seem less cryptic when you get there. 🙂  It’s a good space with easy parking, a lovely room for the kids, and a kitchen in which we are allowed to make fresh coffee, as long as someone chooses to do it. Nope, not passive-aggressive…just hopeful on behalf of the coffee drinkers. Be bold – treat it like it was your place and you wanted your guests to feel welcomed.  By the way, in what felt like a lottery win, there were Timbits last week. I’m not promising anything. Just saying that sometimes, “you have to be in the room to win”.  🙂

In the Talky Bit, we’ll be taking a look at the complicated intersection between the origins of thanksgiving and our own context for expressing thanks, including some of the knotty problems that are part of that history. I promise to try to offend both traditionalists and progressives, as a kind of thanksgiving treat. Now doesn’t that make you at least a teensy bit curious? Oh yes…and to connect it all to happiness. I don’t think that’s setting the bar too high. You?

Next Sunday (the 16th – the third Sunday of the month) will be online only. We’ll continue to live stream all of our gatherings here and to podcast the Talky Bits. Also, the week following that (October 23rd)  there will be something planned for the Littles. Mark the date and pack the snacks!

I’ll see you on Sunday.

Peace,
Tim Plett
