Life And Death In A Banana Peel Universe

Hey folks…as you might imagine if you’ve been aware of my mom’s recent passing, I’m not quite done reflecting on mortality just yet. But given the potential gravity of such reflection, what’s up with the banana peel language? I would invite you, in anticipation of this coming Sunday’s Talky Bit, to exercise your imagination in consideration of the question, “How does what we know about the universe at this point in time intersect with what we believe about banana peels?  Furthermore, what does that have to do with life and death?”. Then we’ll get together (online) on Sunday, and see if we’re even remotely on the same page. 🙂

Some details:
This Sunday, we’ll meet here at 10:45 a.m. for music and community time. Then we’ll go exploring in the banana peel universe. And then, at 12:30, some of us (everyone is welcome) will gather online for And Lunch After. Although life has been known to throw curve balls, this might be the last And Lunch After for a while because we are closing in on arrangements for meeting in person. I’ll send out more info next week, but it looks like we should have a new venue to test drive the next time we gather (September 11th – see below)
Next Sunday (September 4th) is the long weekend, so there will not be a gathering of any sort. Go play outside, if you are able and inclined. Take a walk in the trees, and try to imagine what they might be using their underground network to say about you. 🙂  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out the podcast from August 17th. You can find it here.
And then we’ll see you on September 11th. Also, a reminder that we will continue to livestream our gatherings so that everyone who wishes to may join in.

Either way, I’ll see you on Sunday.

Peace,
Tim Plett
