This is my favorite time of the year to be outside, so I’m feeling especially excited to let you know that this Sunday we’ll be having another outdoor, in-person gathering! We thought we could tuck one more of these in before it gets too cool to make it a feasible option. In the Talky Bit, we’ll continue our exploration of Stage 3, as advertised in last week’s flyer. 🙂 Just one quick note about that – we’ll livestream if possible, but if we don’t have the necessary internet support at this location to do that on Sunday morning, we’ll either try to video the event and post it later, or (at the very least), put up the podcast early the following week.
And now, the details…
Note – this gathering will NOT be at the Plett house, so take note of the location information in the more extensive notes below. Some of this will be familiar but there are also new details. I suggest actually reading the whole section if you are planning to attend.
Cancellation Info: If the weather is looking especially iffy on Sunday morning, check the Facebook page here for any last minute changes. If it doesn’t say “cancelled”, we’re on. If we DO cancel the in person gathering, we’ll still gather online at that same Facebook address. I’ll also post that link at the end of the blurb in case Facebook doesn’t translate it.
Gathering Time: Same as usual; music and Community Time at 10:45 a.m., followed by the Talky Bit. There won’t be any kids programming, so bring whatever you think might help your littles make the most of the experience. Kids, like adults, will need to be masked. See “Covid Protocols” below for more info.
Location and Parking: If you are reading this on our website and need location info, just email me at tim@thetablewinnipeg.com and I’ll send it to you. Parking is on the surrounding streets. There will be ready access to an indoor bathroom.
What to bring: NOTE: the yard is fairly sloped, so blankets will work better than chairs. If it looks like it might shower, bring an umbrella. Once we commit, we’re going for it! Also, bring your own beverages and snacks.
Covid Protocols – In the interest of continuing to protect the vulnerable, please honor the following:
Wear a mask. No, we don’t have to. Yes, it would feel great to not. However, we expect at least some of our littles to be there, and that means we’ll be a mix of vaccinated and not vaccinated folks. There are also adults in our community for whom any encounter with this virus could be devastating. So let’s do what we can.
BYOB and snacks.
If you come as a family or household and you want to enjoy being mask-less during our gathering, set yourself up with appropriate physical distancing. We’ll be outside and there will be plenty of room. Just remember to mask up before interacting with others.
I think that’s it for now. I’ll see you on Sunday!
