Talk, talk, talk…
Hello Tablers! You know that moment in a conflict where someone says to you, “Can you hear what you’re saying?!?”, by which they mean to say that you clearly can’t be listening to yourself or you would either shut up or make a change? Well, I had one of those moments with myself last week. I was catching up on how things had gone at our gatherings while I was away, and someone made a comment about how a lot of those evenings had involved putting the chairs in a circle and having a conversation. I think I made some kind of lamenting reply about how I always seem to miss the best parts when I’m away, and then proceeded to get up and speak for half an hour. Duh…
So this Wednesday evening will be a sort of facilitated conversation about “faith shifting”; those experiences where we feel like what we thought we knew starts to change and morph and shift, and we aren’t sure what we believe anymore. It’ll be the start of what I hope will be several further chats about this sort of experience. I’m eager to hear from all of you, and I look forward tapping into the shared wisdom and insight of our community. Fear not – this will be dialogue, not therapy, and no one will be obliged to share.
Note: A reminder and some further details from Judi about the upcoming celebration of Elena’s arrival:
Time: 7:00
Judi added that she will be putting out some food and beverages, and that we are welcome to add to it as we would like. If you are planning to bring something, let Judi know as that will help her to balance out what’s on offer.
To contact Judi about contributing to a group gift, about what food you can bring, or for any event details, please email me at <tim@thetablewinnipeg.com>, and I will connect you with Judi.
I’ll see you on Wednesday evening.
Peace,
Tim Plett
