But Where Do We Begin?

April 10, 2016

Hello Tablers! For me, this week has been one of overlapping stories. In one conversation after another, the same themes have come up. When that happens, I think it’s my job to pay attention, to reflect, and to pass along whatever seems to come of that process.

This week, the themes of “changing world” and “world changing” seemed to be on the agenda, and in particular the question, “Where Do We Begin?”.  I’m not going to pretend to have a singular response to a question that enormous, but this Sunday it will be my privilege to tell you some of the stories I’ve been entrusted with this week, and to explore some of the insights those story carry.

Kid’s Table is open for business this week, which is always delightful. Last week, Atticus came out of that corner of the building carrying what looked to me like a (pretend) white rat by the tail. I’m not sure what that means, but I’m excited about the creative ways that team consistently engages with “our” kids. I think one of these weeks I’ll swap places with the kids. They seem to have lots to say, and who knows what sort of wisdom might come “from the mouths of babes”?

I’ll see you on Sunday.  Info about time and place can be found at the website, along with podcasts and other items of interest.
