The Story We Are Joining…
Hello Tablers! All right – so, moving day was a big success, and we’ve had a week to recover, and now it’s time to move into our new temporary gathering space. I expect this will take a bit of tweaking as we go, but I’ll give you directions below and we’ll put them up on the website as well. Beyond that, just show up and we’ll sort out the details in person.
Our new address is 372 Notre Dame, down the street and on the opposite side from Independent. If you want to get an advance peek at the building, you can see the street view here:
Now…the appearance of the building has changed a little; signs have been moved, the doorway that is gray in the photo is now sort of orange, etc. But..that’s us! There is another entry door just down the side of the building (the right hand side, when you are facing the front), and that’s the one we’re planning to use. We’ll put out the signs, which will help. But if you try the orange door and find it locked, don’t panic. Just go around the side, and all shall be well.
We’ll be meeting at our usual time (10:30). We’ll have a guest, Francine Wiebe. Francine will be telling us more about the rather remarkable story of how this space we’re in came to be what it is, and letting us peek behind the curtain of the story of how this space is so instrumental in the lives of kids and families that are new to Canada. In my imagination, it’ll be a bit akin to unwrapping a gift.
I’m excited to re-gather, and to begin this part of our journey together.
I’ll see you on Sunday.
Peace,
Tim Plett
