This Week at the Trevor…

January 24, 2016
Well, it’s might not be helpful as a search criteria, but it’s a pretty good hint…

When we gather this Sunday, it will be our third-last time in the space at Independent Jewelers. I’m so deeply grateful for the time we’ve had there, and look forward to hearing some of your memories at our final gathering on February 7th.

One of the people that was part of some very special moments for me over those years was Trevor Williams. Trevor shared his passionate heart with our community on several occasions as our “speaker”, and on many more as he talked about the people with whom he shared his life journey. Many of those fellow travelers were people that call the street “home” here in Winnipeg.

When Trev left here to move back to his home city of Calgary, he continued his work with the homeless as a part of the team at Canada’s largest homeless serving agency, the Calgary Drop In and Rehab Centre. I won’t say too much more about that because Trevor is going to do that on Sunday. Our conversation about what he is up to will also continue our exploration about the nature of hope.

Kid’s Table is on as well, and of course the opportunity to connect and exchange hope is always on the agenda.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Peace,

Tim
