IN CONCERT!

July 29, 2015
Hello Tablers. Hope you’ve all been soaking up halcyon summer days, free of storms and filled with a sense of renewal. I know that’s hoping for a lot, but still…

I’ve been loving our summer gatherings! Yes, there are fewer of us, and I think those that gather miss those that are not there. But these smaller groups have also helped us to engage in ways that are more about dialog and discussion, and I feel like every one of those evenings has been a gift. I’m so grateful to be part of The Table.

This Wednesday we’re in for a unique treat. We have several gifted musicians in our midst that we don’t often have the privilege of hearing from. This week, Jaymie Friesen is going to join us for a concert. Jaymie, for those of you that might not know, is a well respected local indie musician, a writer and singer of thoughtful and substantial songs with themes that will make you ponder and stir your heart. There is a quiet robustness about her songwriting that rewards the listener that pays attention. We’ll have the opportunity to do just that on Wednesday.

I’m looking forward to our evening together.  We’ll meet at the usual time (6:30). Feel free to invite folks. I know we’re not necessarily excessively “churchy” in general, but for those in your own friendship circles that might be a bit weirded out about the idea of going to “church”, this evening will be very user friendly.

Peace to you all,

Tim Plett
