Victim of filicide
As Jason was mentioning last week, the teaching team had an idea
earlier this summer that we would each take on different characters
from the Bible in order to discover something about what their stories
could tell us. This week I’ll be looking at Isaac, one of the
forefathers of the Hebrew faith and a curious character for the fact
that he was the nearly the victim of filicide (look it up).
We’ll be traveling down the avenue of storytelling to get a glimpse
into just how Isaac was shaped by this horrific event, and what God
could want us to understand, through this act, about his relationship
with humanity.
Have a great weekend!
