TIM IS BACK.
Hello good people of The Table. It feels like a long time since I’ve written a weekly update. We’re not back home just yet, but will be on Sunday evening, and I’m very much looking forward to being back together with everyone on Monday night.
And really, I owe you one as a community. More accurately, I owe you several! I am deeply grateful for the sabbatical time away, and these past days together on vacation have been wonderful as well. That said, it’s time to be back, to be together with community, to have the important conversations face to face again instead of on the phone and the computer screen.
So, with that as a framework, what I would like to do this coming Monday is offer a couple of reflections that have come out of my time away. Not a travelogue exactly (I won’t show any pictures), but rather a smattering of experiences that reminded me of bigger themes, nurtured my faith, challenged my perspectives, and that made me grateful for both the beliefs I hold dear and for those, living and dead, with whom I share the heritage of Christian faith.
I look forward to being with you all.
Peace,
Tim
