The Circle of Life Part 2.1 with Wally Chartrand
Hey folks – if you joined in last week for Part 1, you know that Wally is bringing our community the gift of a deeper understanding of traditional Indigenous teachings that can inform our minds, bodies and spirits about how to think of ourselves, one another, our place on this earth and the mysteries that are beyond it. You will also have encountered those teachings in the hands of someone whose heart is a remarkable combination of determined and gentle, insistent and open. To misapply a quote from Wesley in The Princess Bride, “Do you think this happens every day?”. A rhetorical question, to be sure.
We’ll fire things up this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. with some music and Community Time, followed by Wally. In Part 2, he will be sharing more of his own story, including how the traditional teachings have been instrumental in redirecting his path. NOTE: Wally asked me to make you aware that in the authentic telling of this part of the story, there will be some themes and language that may not be suitable for all ages. To use a stock phrase from the broadcast industry, viewer discretion is advised.
That will be followed by And Lunch After, which will once again be hosted by Wally and Theresa, offering lots of opportunity for conversation, questions and interaction. Here’s the link for that part of our shared experience:
