Moving to Mondays – THIS MONDAY!

May 19, 2011

In the interest of having as many of us as possible gather this long weekend, we’ve switching our gathers to Monday nights starting this Monday (May 23rd).  And just to make it more confusing, this Monday’s service will start a bit later than the Monday services to follow.   So here’s the plan:

Coffee and time to hang out – 7:30 p.m.

Gathering Time – 8:00 p.m. We’ll aim at making our gathering a bit shorter as well, so those of you that need a bit of extra beauty sleep can come to church and still be civil with your co-workers on Tuesday morning.

Next Monday (May 30th) – we’ll settle into our normal summer schedule, which is meeting for coffee at 7:00, and start our gathering at 7:30 (all p.m., for those of you that really aren’t catching the drift of this…).  We’ll continue in that schedule until September 5th (the Monday of the Labor Day Weekend), at which time we’ll go back to Sunday mornings.

There are a couple of special events in the works for the summer months, including a special gathering on the Fringe weekend and a “Tax Man” concert (date t.b.d.). Watch your inbox.

This Thursday will be our final WJAC before summer; we’ll resume in September. So bring your social self to The Peasant Cookery at 8:00 p.m. for an evening of conversation, and such good food and libations as you choose.

I realize that Monday nights don’t work for everyone, and do regret that. However, we will try to be diligent about the podcasts so that there is some way to feel a bit of connection, and if past summers are any indicator the season will zoom past and the Monday Night M.I.A.’s will be able to return to us!

I’ll see you on (read this one more time) MONDAY NIGHT!

Peace,

Tim
