Life's GPS…

A few years ago, Zee and I took a trip to Italy; which included a 10 day road tour through Italy and Sicily with a car we rented in Rome. Before we left on the trip, I purchased a GPS that we came to fondly call “Nuvi”.

There were times when Nuvi seemed to take us on a wild goose chase and there were other times when we would strongly disagree with Nuvi’s chosen route.  Nevertheless in the long run we were very happy to have taken her along for the trip because, for the most part, she would lead us safely to our destination… sooner or later.

When it comes to living life and finding meaning to it, I believe to some degree, that the Bible for a Christ-Follower, acts much like a GPS on a road trip.  It helps us to navigate through some of the trickiest parts so that we can actually enjoy the journey as we move towards its ultimate destination.  Of course, like Nuvi, you need “power” to use it.

This Monday I’d like to share with you how the Bible has influenced my 33 year journey as a Follower of Christ and maybe share with you some “features” you can use to (like Nuvi) get the most out of it.  I hope you can join us.
