August 5
This morning we pulled out onto the highway and turned homeward for the first time in almost three weeks. We have had a wonderful vacation – lots of great mountain biking, stellar weather, no major injuries or breakdowns (so far), evenings sitting around campfires. All this surrounded by the towering beauty of the Kootenay Rockies. Awesome! There is something about sitting by a campfire that makes me muse. And when I come back home, there is an urge in me to report on those musings. Maybe it’s a leftover from the classic first day of school assignment “What I Did On My Summer Vacation”. So, because you are both my community and in many ways the place where I learn, this Monday night will be my report. I think I’ll call it “Fireside Musings About God”. Doesn’t that sound sort of Mr Rogers-ish? Perhaps I’ll see if I can find a bad cardigan to wear… I look forward to seeing you all at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening. If we’re not in the C Gallery at 318 ½ Ross, check the green space across the street.
Peace, Tim Plett
