I was in a waiting room this past week and reading material was in short supply, so I flipped open a parenting magazine. I figure I can use any help I can get! kAn ad with a baby wearing a hospital wrist band caught my eye. Not because of the baby (although casting found a a cute one), but because of the text on the wrist bracelet. “Warning: some re-assembly of priorities and beliefs may be required”. Hmmm…indeed!
That kind of re-assembly isn’t unique to things like becoming a parent. It comes with the terrain of change, in any realm. Last week, Karen Johnson did a wonderful job of graciously challenging us to reconsider our understanding and perspective on sustainability. She did that largely by telling us her own story. This week, I want to stay near the path Karen started us down by considering a gospel story about the re-assembly of priorities and beliefs.
We’ll meet somewhere at the Frame Arts Warehouse. It’s been a bit of a scramble these past weeks regarding which part of the building we’re in, but as far as I can tell we won’t be in the C Gallery this particular Monday. Watch for the signs, and just keep poking around until you find our gathering. We’ll meet at 6:30. See you on Monday!
Peace,
Tim Plett
