April 21

April 20, 2013
Lately, I have been considering the place critical thinking should take in our Christian spirituality. If critical thinking alone directs our faith, we run the risk of becoming a hopeless critic. If our lives are void of it, we run the risk of becoming thoughtlessly zealous. In my own life, I feel like I have wandered in and out of both extremes, feeling dissatisfied on either end.
Thankfully, our faith is not limited to these options. Leaning on the words of Jesus regarding the nature of children and his dialogue with “doubting Thomas”, we should be able to find more encouraging direction.

Andrew

As you may gather from what you just read, Andrew is speaking to us this week – something I personally look forward to with real joy.

It is also Super Sunday, so plan to stay for whatever people bring.  And in that regard, a reminder to bring your own mug and plate, etc. It’s be a party…

And finally, a reminder that this week we want to take the opportunity to pull together some funds for banners and signage using our new logo and art, courtesy of James and the community.

We’ll see you on Sunday, 10:30, 318 Ross.

Peace,

Tim Plett
