Lies I Have Loved – An alt.Sunday

Feb 16, 2025

Hey folks – “lies” is a strong word, but at some point many of us have changed something we believe. Sometimes it’s been a conscious process, a moment, an epiphany.  Sometimes (I suspect, more often than not) it’s been a slow evolution, informed by experiences we are having or events that are taking place in the world around us. Sometimes we’re not even aware these changes are happening until we stop to review or reflect.

This week, because the internet makes these things possible, our “special guest” will be Kate Bowler, sharing her personal story about lies that she has loved. We’ll follow that up with an opportunity to reflect on beliefs that might have changed for us, and why some of those shifts have taken place.

As always, we’ll meet at 10:45 at VA Cafe. We’ll stream the Community Time here. I’m looking forward to the conversation.

Also, a housekeeping note: we’re working on building up our Leadership Team. If being part of the group of people that “zoom out” and think together about the wellness of The Table as a collective has any intrigue for you, please talk to me. I promise to treat your interest as just that – interest. 🙂

I’ll see you on Sunday.

Peace,
Tim Plett
