This Easter At The Table

April 20, 2014

Easter Sunday! This is supposedly the apex of the Christian calendar. It’s often been about the resurrection, and how we are now the recipients of everything we could ask for and more (something including a new car).
I’d like to explore the dark side of Easter a little (but not make it too dark), and talk about the invitation of Jesus, and the implications for his early followers. It wasn’t all roses and wonder after the resurrection. There was some difficult stuff to comprehend, and it all goes back to living in the way of Jesus.
We’ve got a video clip coming that I always find quite fascinating, because it shows us how outrageous Jesus’ life and death actually is.
I lean toward the interactive, which I understand is challenging for the podcast people (sorry about that), so I’m hoping that you’re all coming ready to participate.
And I did mention that maybe we’d try to coordinate an easter egg hunt, so maybe bring some chocolates to hide, as well as your appetite for our breakfast potluck.
See you Sunday!
Jason
