What Shall I Make of Hope?

January 17, 2016
Hello Tablers! We’ve been exploring some thoughts about “hope” these past couple of weeks, a trend I’ll continue when we gather this Sunday. In fact, this week will sort of be the “tone setter” for the next three weeks. This week we will engage with some questions about what we might make of hope; how we can be both givers and receivers of hope, and how even the most grievous of stories might be the ground in which something beautiful can grow.

A few significant details:

It’s a Kid’s Table Sunday. Every Sunday this month is a Kid’s Table Sunday, which is no small accomplishment. Yeah!

We have a moving date. Our last gathering at Independent will take place on February 7th. We’ll have a shorter gathering, share some pizza, and pack up. Plan to stay to eat and assist if you can, but don’t hesitate to come for the gathering even if you can’t stay to help later. We’ll spend some of our  time together reflecting on the Goodness that we have experienced in this location, both as an expression of our gratitude and in anticipation of encounters with that same Goodness in the next place we will gather.

Peace to you all!

I’ll see you on Sunday.
