Yep – Part 3. Because we can, that’s why. 🙂  Actually, it’s because deliberately changing your beliefs turns out to be a potentially pretty involved process. Maybe that’s part of why not everybody wants to take it on. Of course, another possibility is that I’m overthinking it, right? Could be. We could always just take a previously held belief and unceremoniously chuck it, no process required. However, I believe that investing some time and effort into how we change our beliefs can yield not only something new and exciting in our lives, but also something that has more depth and durability than what it replaces, because we gave it a good personal examination before we took it on. As always, you be the judge.
This week when we gather in-person at VA Cafe (10:45 a.m., lower level), we’ll take our collective pulse in Community Time and then jump right into our exploration. We will live-steam here and podcast here. Also (late-breaking, perhaps, but sometimes that’s how we roll), a confirmed date for our Not Quite Christmas gatheringSunday, December 21st! We’ll gather at our usual time, but our gathering will also include a pot-luck so plan to stay a bit later than usual if you are able.

And while we have our calendars open, note that there will be no gathering on December 28th. A straw poll of the community made it abundantly clear that many of us have about as many commitments in the holiday season as can be handled, and this is a simple decision that can add a bit of breathing room to a time that is both potentially over-busy and precious.  Normal programming will resume on January 4th. I’ll send out some reminders.

Lastly, but not least-ly, our financial situation remains very challenging. Please keep us in mind as you muse about any year-end giving choices. I know that there are lots of worthy causes, and these can be tough decisions. Thanks for including The Table in your considerations. Info about ways to make your tax-receiptable donations (including several on-line options) can be found here.

I’ll see you on Sunday.
Peace,
Tim Plett
