Of Fuzzy Sweaters and Changing Beliefs

Hey folks – as sometimes happens, last week our Community Time expanded and the tasty reality of Souper Sunday was calling, so we never got to the “thought exercise” I had planned. No regrets at all on my part, but also I still want to explore what I had in mind so we’re going to do that this week.

But first, we’ll enjoy some music and Community Time together. There will be an adult to hang with the kids during this time. When it comes to exploring what we believe, which can be a disconcerting thing to do, the comfort of people we know and music we appreciate can be very lovely. It can remind us that we’re in a place where it’s safe to examine and reconsider even deeply held beliefs. I won’t say more about the fuzzy sweaters part until Sunday, except to suggest that thinking in advance about what constitutes “comforting beliefs” for you, both past and present, will put you on the general path of what we’ll be considering.

We’ll gather at VA Cafe at 10:45 a.m. Coffee and goodies available from the cafe upstairs Good company, conversation and connection available downstairs. Now that’s a full-service establishment!
