International Women’s Day at The Table
Mar 8, 2020
Sunday is International Women’s Day. For me personally, I appreciate that the life I have now is so different from the lives of my mother, grandmother and great grandmother in terms of rights, opportunities and respect. Still, I think I sometimes feel a hesitation to put myself out there, to live out the abilities I think I have. I find that when the wider world nudges me to pay attention to something it usually pays to take heed. It’s my hope that through doing something unusual for us, a female-focused service, it will turn our minds and hearts to think about things worth noting: our own contributions as women and that of others, to grow in confidence and appreciation.

Other Details of Significance:
-Kids Table is a go…go, go, go…
-And speaking of kids, mark your calendars for a Parent/Child dedication on April 26th. If you are interested in adding your particular child (and yourself) to that celebration, just let me know. It’s open to anyone, of course.
-Also, take note that on April 19th we will be gathering at “the turret” at the University of Winnipeg. Creative Manitoba has a weekend long training event going on, so it’s road trip time for The Table. Come on…it’ll be like old times! 🙂
This Sunday we will make some coffee and get the place ready for what will be, in our brief history, a completely unique gathering. I’m excited!
I’ll see you on Sunday.
Peace,
-Tim Plett
