Frenemies – How Letting Strangers Into Our Hearts Can Change Everything
Jan 19, 2020
I’m tired of being told who I should hate. I’m weary of the pace at which the messages come, and how often they come from sources whose actions are difficult to distinguish from those being vilified. I’m surprised by grace when I encounter it, and delighted by mercy when it crops up. There has to be a better way. I believe I need to step out of the current, sit on the bank for a while and think about this. This Sunday in the Talky Bit, that’s what we’ll do.
We’ll meet at our usual time and place (Creative Manitoba, 245 McDermot Ave, 4th floor), around 10:30 a.m. There will be coffee, fishy crackers and Tim Bits and intriguing company.
There will indeed be Kids Table programming, although there will be about one Sunday a month with no Kids Table. We are still working on finding a good solution for the dates when the littles need a program leader, but if you are willing to help either on a regular or casual basis, please talk to me.
Hold The Date: Our annual potluck and AGM is scheduled for Sunday, February 23rd following our morning gathering. The food will be excellent, the meeting brief and informative. In short, a dream meeting. Plan to stay if you are able. Everyone is welcome (just in case your personal history suggests this might be some kind of exclusive event for “members only”).
I’m looking forward to pausing with all of you on Sunday.
Peace,
Tim Plett
