Dirt, Glorious (?!) Dirt…
Hey folks – first of all, a shout out to everyone that participated in the AGM last Sunday. The potluck was fantastic, the company at least that good, and we got the business of the community done in ways that still make me smile. It’s entirely possible that I’m that rarest of “church staff” – someone that comes home from an AGM with a grin on his face, not because it wasn’t sometimes hard work but because the spirit of the whole thing was so engaging. Thank you!
This week in the Talky Bit we’re going to re-consider some of the long-standing assumptions behind Lent, including one that might have put many of us into complicated (and not positive) relationships with our bodies. We won’t be doing a craft (zero artistic ability required), but we might be offered the opportunity to get our hands dirty. Just FYI…
