Weekly Community Gathering at Creative Manitoba (4th Floor, 245 McDermot Ave)
– January 5, 2020
Join us for our weekly gathering at 245 McDermot Avenue (4th Floor). We get started with coffee around 10:30am, and community gathering at about 10:45am.
Kids Table will resume on Sept 15th, but the media room and toys will be available for the littles and their caregivers.
Accessibility: Because Creative Manitoba is officially closed for the holidays, our only access from the 22nd to the 29th will be the elevator. We will not have access to the stairs. To those of you who regarded those stairs as your weekend workout, sorry...you might have to shovel instead. The entrance to the elevator (please note it is very slow, but it does work, just requires extra patience) is located along the east side of the building on Arthur Street. Watch for our signs and they'll help guide your way!
Our Gatherings: We meet every Sunday from 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 noon at the VA Café (171 McDermot Avenue, in the Exchange) in the lower level Event Space. If necessary, we post updates about changes to that on our website, where you can also find our weekly blurb and other info about the community including ways to support this adventure financially.
We also livestream our gatherings on our private facebook page, which can be found here.
Gathering in-person: We meet every Sunday (except the third Sunday of each month) from 10:45 a.m. - 1:00 noon at 170 Scott Street, also know as The Rainbow Resource Centre. Watch our Facebook group or weekly e-mail for more details.
PARKING YOUR BIKE
A bike rack is located next to the front entrance.
PARKING YOUR CAR
There is a small parking lot behind the building, off Wardlaw Avenue, that is open to the public.
Do not park in the small lot beside our building, off Scott Street, as it belongs to a different organization.
There is plenty of street parking on Scott Street, Wardlaw Avenue, Gertrude Avenue, and Stradbrook Avenue. There is no time limit for street parking, but be aware of “No Stopping” zones. Ensure you are parked far enough away from sidewalks and intersections to avoid tickets, as parking patrol officers are in the neighbourhood daily.
BUS STOPS
The following busses stop within walking distance of the Rainbow Resource Centre: 16, 18, 39, 58, 60, 68, 99, and 185. These busses all have stops on Osborne Street. The 68, 99, and 185 also stop on Stradbrook Avenue. The 99 also stops on Donald Street.
Rainbow Resource Centre is within walking distance of Harkness Station (7 minute walk) and Osborne Station (8 minute walk). The following busses stop at both stations: 64, 65, 66, 137, 160, 161, 162, 163, 170, 180, 181, and 183. Bus 185 stops at Osborne Station only.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Centre is working on improving accessibility. The front door has a ramp and powered door, and from here, all main floor spaces, including OARS and The Qube, are accessible. Unfortunately, the washrooms are too small for most wheelchairs.

(third Sunday, Online Only) - we'll "meet" on our Facebook page livestream. No music, etc...just "time with Tim", or whoever might be hosting that gathering. Usually Tim...or sometimes the other Tim...or someone else. :) This one will also produce a podcast. Find all of this on our private Facebook page here.
