The How-To Not Everybody Wants – Part 2
Hey folks – when we gather this week, we’ll enjoy some Community Time, some shared music, and further exploration of what we can do to deliberately change our beliefs. For the younger members of the group, there will be an adult available to hang out with them at the Kids Table.
As I’ve mentioned in the past, and as the subject line suggests, this isn’t something everyone wants to do. Beyond that, it can be a disquieting process, not least of all because chosen change in beliefs benefits from a pretty clear-eyed examination of the beliefs we already have. Getting underway can feel a bit like standing beside our personal Pandora’s Box, and wondering what’s going to happen when we open the lid.
I can appreciate that might sound a bit foreboding to some. However, it seems to me that deliberate change is still a better path than unattended devolution, and having some tools in hand can help us both enjoy the journey more and come to a place that feels more authentically “ours”.
