Emmersive, Live-Looped Meditation with Anna Bigland-Pritchard
Sep 21, 2025
Hey folks – As I have mentioned in previous emails, this Sunday our guest will be Anna Bigland-Pritchard. Anna is a musician, a lover of the natural world, an expressive-arts-therapist-in-training, and a person whose commitment to connecting with others and with Spirit is indefatigable. Her current work includes an ecologically-oriented songwriting and looping project called “rose house”, and the co-created indie opera collective Gay4Nature. You can find more info about her online here.
When we gather this week, Anna will share some of those gifts with us, not as a performance but as a shared, immersive experience. Short version – she will facilitate a guided meditation and journaling time that involves ambient sound looping, visual engagement and reflection. That already sounds pretty fantastic to me, but here’s what I think is the really cool part. If any of us have anything text-based (poems, song lyrics, readings, etc) that we would like Anna to include in what she makes with us, send them to me at this email address and I’ll forward them to her…and she’ll work them into what she will make. Right?! Kind of like participating without being under the spotlight. I mean, we don’t have actual spotlights, but you get what I’m saying.
We’ll meet at our usual time (10:45 a.m.) and at our usual place (VA Cafe – 171 McDermot Avenue). We will livestream here.
Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that our finances remain precarious. We have been unable to meet our commitments this past month. If you are able to give, please do. You can find ways to give online here. Thank you for giving this matter your serious consideration.
I’ll see you on Sunday.
Peace,
Tim Plett
