Walking In The Dark
I regard it as a great honor and trust to speak to our community week by week, not least of all because from my vantage point at the front of the room I can see all your faces. And our faces are windows on our emotions, so I get glimpses of what is happening in minds and hearts.
Last week, when I talked about the sensation of traveling at night, of what it feels like when our “north star” disappears and we are wondering how to find direction, I saw some nods and some tears. No surprise, really. Among other reasons, it’s January, just post-Christmas, and if there was ever a season where the sensation of “walking in the dark” is pervasive this is it.
